A LITTLE BIT TO SHARE WITH YOU

Welcome back to my creative space!

I'm so happy you are here!

Today I am going to share a layout and a card with you.

First up is my layout created for my Using Up Scraps UUS17 challenge over on Soul Scrappers   This month I am challenging you all to use up some of those random leftover slpahbet stickers I'm sure you have laying around.

Here is just a small sampling of the many
I had to work with:

And here is what I created with them-

The card I created is for a new site I just discovered called FUSION!  It's a fun site that offers you the opportunity to play along with an inspiration photo, or a sketch, or both.

For my card I opted to use both.

And here it is-

I thought I would share a few close ups
with the fun details.

a fun vintage image, a tiny tag,
and some stamping.

some embossing and more stamping

and a really awesome flower I got in the
Robin's Nest Bee Happy! Bee Scrappy!
Flower Swap!

Thanks for stopping by!

WHAT HAPPENED TO SPRING?

Here in Delaware it had warmed up.  I had packed my boots and sweaters away and pulled out all my spring/summer tops and had declared it flip-flop season.

And then this week arrived...

Back to the 40's! Fortunately I found one pair of booties to wear or I would have frozen my toes off.  The extra blankets that had been down at the bottom of the bed have been pulled back up.

So I am guessing that is qwhy when I was in the mood to create with a Julie Nutting doll stamp I opted for the one I did.

I chose sketch #119 from over at Feeling Sketchy

.
and here is the creation I have to
share with you-

I hope that you enjoyed seeing my quick card and I hope to be back tomorrow with more!

Hearing from you makes my day!  All comments greatly appreciated.

HAVE A BEE-U-TIFUL DAY!

Today I have a short post with a card I made for my friend Robin of Robin's Scrap Nest.  Today she had spinal surgery and I wanted to send her something to cheer her up.  I just came back from her Bee Happy!  Bee Scrappy! crop so this stamp set was just perfect.

I used the sketch from The Memory Nest
Make It Monday #38.

I rotated the sketch 1/4 turn to the left.

and here is my card -

The stamp was from a set I got from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  They have a great selection of stamps, many with matching dies, lotys of great sentiment stamps etc.  You should go check them out.

Hope you enjoyed seeing little
Rhubarb the Bear as a Bee!

Thanks for stopping by.
All comments gratefully appreciated.

BEE HAPPY! BEE SCRAPPY! - TONS OF FUN TUESDAY!

This is the last full day of Robin's Scrap Nest
Bee Happy! Bee Scrappy! Crop at the
Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek.

In the morning we checked out some of the great gift shops - especially Carlisle Gifts which was right across the street and had an amazing selection - a little bit of everything!

Next we headed to Rebecca's Bistro for lunch.

And after lunch we got to play with paper dolls!  That was something I always enjoyed when I was a young girl.  These Julie Nutting doll stamps are so much fun.

Here's my doll -

And my final creation from the crop uses Make It Monday sketch #37 from The Memory Nest.

and here's my layout!

BEE HAPPY! BEE SCRAPPY! - MONDAY MONDAY!

Another fun day at Robin's Scrap Nest Bee Happy! Bee Scrappy! Crop at the Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek in Ohio's Amish Country.

Monday I had some mojo and got a lot done...

First up is a layout from my son
Thomas' 16th Birthday.

I used the sketch from SC89 challenge
over on Soul Scrappers.

The sketch -

and here is my interpetation -
I chose to modify it by using two photos.

and a few close-ups-
How about all these fun embellishments?

a fun saying and showing off my new
Martha Stewart punch!

My next layout uses
Let's Get Sketchy April Week 2 sketch -

Now here is my take -

and a few close-ups -
some great metal!
more great metal, molding paste
(a/k/a Dry Dex Spackle), ribbon banner

My next layout is for the April 1 challenge at Picture This!
The challenge calls for using one photo, plus corners plus splatters.

Here is my take -

Obviously you see the one photo...
now here are some close-ups.

Here you can see both the corners
and some splats!

Don't you love the yellow flower on the left?
I got that in the flower swap at the crop!

Here is my last layout of the day
with some beautiful flowers taken
at Mt. Cuba in August 2013.

I am going to enter this in
Word Art Wednesday challenge 179.

And the grand finale - I borrowed the Julie Nutting Mermaid stamp and you will see this on a beach page one of these days...

There will still be another post from the final day of the crop hopefully tomorrow!

BEE HAPPY! BEE SCRAPPY! - IT'S SUNDAY!

Sunday started off with a trip to NewPointe Community Church in Millersburg, Ohio with my roomies.  Then it was back to The Carlisle for more creative fun!

On Sunday I used a sketch from Turtle Soup Monday Sketch challenge 4/6.

and some photos of my younger son Thomas fishing the first time we went to Lum's Pond State Park in August 2013.

And here's my layout...flipped around a bit...

I also did a make and take tag with Charlene Woods designer of C-thru the Woods stamps. The tag reads 'May Each Miracle of Spring be a sweet reminder of God's Everlasting Love.'  I'm going to enter my tag in challenge #179 at Word Art Wednesday.

Can't wait to post Monday - I actually accomplished a bit more!

The first day I was there I managed to complete one layout...

SPECIAL GUEST SPOT - TAKE 3!!!

My friend and fellow Design Team member from Scrapping Everyday Miracles, the very talented Alicia Redshaw happens to own a wonderful scrapbook store in Australia and online called Scrapbook Fantasies.  This month she is sponsoring the challenges over at CSI - Color...Stories...Inspiration.  She has asked me to be her guest and create some samples for her.

**************************************************************

The final challenge is:
Here's what I created -

All five colors from the scheme!

Evidence:

Solid Background
Ink - all edges

Metal
Stars

Circles (patterned paper)

Something transparent - the cutout from the packaging
and the arrow with their names

Swirls, Die cut

Testimony:

Document something funny - there is nothing
quite so funny as two little guinea pigs!

Journal in a Q&A Format

Inspiration Word - Unexpected - their favorite vegetables have totally different tastes and textures -
carrots are sweet, broccoli is somewhat bitter.
Their favorite places to play are an igloo and a tunnel.
