PROUD MAMA

Today I am going to share the card I made for a very special occasion today.  Today is my eldest son's 3rd Anniversary of being clean and sober.  I am so proud of him.  He is only 22 years old.  He has been growing and changing for the better since, and this year especially he has made some great strides, moving to his own apartment with a friend.   He shares his story at meetings, has chaired meetings and done a lot in AA and has made some wonderful friends that are also living right.  It has also been a good example for my younger son who once told me during Robert's active addiction...'Don't worry Mommy, when I get to be a teenager I won't put you through what Robert put US through.'

I chose sketch #381 from Mojo Monday.

I normally only do an outside, but tonite I am going to share the inside as well.

I am also entering this into Sketches4all Stacy's January 2015 Card Challenge - Something Blue or New and Word Art Wednesday challenge #167 Anything Goes.

And, I have another reason to be proud...I have been selected to be on the Design Team of Soul Scrappers.

I will be sharing my first challenge on February 2nd.  My topic will be Using Up Scraps.  Hope that you will play along.

A QUICK PEEK OF WHAT I'M UP TO...

Today I want to share a layout that I did for Scrapbook.com Ugly Paper Challenge for October.

Here are the papers I had to work with:

And here is the layout I created:

And now a card using sketch #317 from Mojo Monday that I am also using as one of my samples for my Anything Goes!! - Give Thanks challenge over at Colorful Creations.

The Sketch:

I chose to do square - here is my card:

Now I am off to create a gift card for the Krazy Crafting Crew's Blog Hop tomorrow.  Be sure to stop back and hop along - I hear there is some awesome blog candy to be won!

A LITTLE OF EVERYTHING

Today I have a lot to share with you as I never got around to doing a blog post yesterday.  First I will start with some cards.

The first uses sketch #310 from Mojo Monday.

My Card:

I am also entering this card in week 223 Butterflies challenge at Allsorts Challenge Blog.

The next card uses Scrapbook.com September Card Sketch challenge sketch #2:

My Card:

I am also entering this card in 3 Girl Jam Challenge #25 - Celebrations.

My third card uses Sunday Sketch & Stamp sketch #173 by Carole.

The rest of my creations are for the blog challenge at Kraftie Kreations.  It called for using this sketch to create both a card and a layout:

The Sketch:

For my card I rotated the sketch 1/4 turn clockwise.  Here's my card:

and here's my layout:

and then you also needed to create an altered item.  This is going to be part of the desk set I am creating for Michael for his birthday.  It started out being a clear acrylic napkin holder.  It is now a file folder holder:

I hope that you have enjoyed viewing all of my creations.  I hope to be back later with a few more.  Have a great day!

SUNDAY'S LABOR

Today I created a layout using sketch #6 From the Sketch-a-Thon on 2 Broke Girls, a Back to School theme for my Anything Goes challenge on Colorful Creations and Challenge #TPE214 from The Pink Elephant.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE SCRAPS TO TREASURES TEAM!!!

Welcome to the Scraps to Treasure Team Big Birthday Party Hop!

The party started Robin's blog at http://scrapandchat.blogspot.com/

You should have arrived here from Camille at http://shortonideasaz.blogspot.com/

In honor of this special occasion we all created birthday themed projects.  We create all of our projects using scraps from prior projects.

Here is the pile of scraps I chose to work from:

I chose to make a few birthday cards.

For the first one I chose the color palette challenge TPE212 from The Pink Elephant.

And sketch #306 from Mojo Monday!

and my first card:

for my second card I took color challenge TSG220 from There She Goes .

and sketch #211 from Tuesday Morning Sketches:

and card #2:

And for my final card I chose color palette #108 from My Craft Spot-

and Sweet Sketch #218 from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

I felt that the papers I chose gave a masculine feel to it so rather than a flower I chose to embellish it with a gear and a clock.

Here's my last card:

and now I have a birthday present for a lucky commenter I will choose at random.  In order to qualify you must be a follower of all the blogs in the hop and to have left a comment on each one.

Here's the present:
