A QUICK CARD TO SHARE

This is going to be a quick share as I just discovered that the challenge will be over in 3 hours and I will be on my way to Bible Study before that.  I created this card to cheer up the mother of a friend from one of my groups who has been having some struggles.

The card was created using this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #226.

and the message inside -

I hope that this will bring her a bit of cheer and that you have enjoyed viewing my creation!

I'M BACK!!!!

So sorry for the long lapse in posts.  I had a wonderful trip with my son Thomas to visit a dear old friend in Nashville, TN.  We had an awesome time and I just developed 400 photos! So, you will get to eventually share in a lot of our fun and sight-seeing!

I have not gotten to do much creating but I do have a few things to share...

While I was away I found a Hobby Lobby and did a bit of shopping and I created a gift tag for Thrifty Thursday challenge over at Addicted 2 Paper Dolls.  They only had 2 dolls in stock that I didn't have.  This one is Mindy.

My next share is for the December card sketch over at Scrapping Everyday Miracles.

Here's the sketch-

and here is my card -

I am also going to enter this card over at
Word Art Wednesday for challenge #212.

and my last share for tonite is part of my package for an angel gift at church.  The gift is part of a package for an 11 year old girl whose favorite colors are pink and white.

and a few close-ups-

I hope to get back to working on my Christmas presents this week in between packing and apartment hunting.

and now I am off to bed!  Sweet Dreams!

ANOTHER FRIDAY NIGHT!

I was blessed to join my friend Maraline for another Friday night of dinner and scrapping.  I struggled with my mojo and was only able to complete one layout.  But, it is the answer to my previous post - so why was Robin crying...

I used Scrapbook Challenges
Flashback Friday Sketch #232 -

and my layout -

The reason for Robin's tears was that during the crop as a surprise she was gifted with a wonderful cart of food and a beautiful mixed media canvas signed by everyone.

 and now few close-ups-

I am struggling with packing for my move and will be needing to get my scrapbooking area thoroughly cleaned up very soon so my posts may be even less than they have been lately but please do keep watch as I love hearing what you think of my creations!

Hope you are having an awesome weekend and a blessed restful Sunday!

FRIDAY NIGHT FUN!!! MORE FROM THE "BEE"

Last night I had another girls scrapping night with my friend Maraline and I was able to complete 2 more layouts using photos from my last trip to Ohio for the "Bee Happy Bee Scrappy" crop with Robin's Scrap Nest.

My first layout uses Make It Monday sketch #49
from The Memory Nest.

and my layout -
These photos were from a tag class with
 Shannon Commerford Wroblewski.

and a close-up-

and my other layout uses
Stuck?!Sketches November 1 sketch-

and my layout-

and close-ups-
Robin always makes the most amazing name badges
for her crops!  So much detail!

Don't you love this bee?  I used them on my ATC cards and had so many left over that I have been using them on a lot of the layouts from this crop!

I hope you have enjoyed a bit more from my trip.  There will soon be a page that will come before this last one chronologically that will show you why Robin was crying.

Have an awesome weekend!

THE NEW BANJO!

Today I'm here to share a layout of my youngest son.  He has played guitar for several years and decided to take on the banjo this May.  We were at a graduation party for a friend of ours and he decided to play a bit for everyone!

I used the November sketch from

and here is my layout -

with a few close-ups!

Over at Scrapping Everyday Miracles this month there is also a card sketch and a scripture inspiration challenge.  Stop by and check it out and consider joining us.  You will have a chance at a wonderful prize for each entry you make.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

1963 that is.

Today I am going to share two Halloween layouts -
a blast from the past - 1963!

I started with Team A Week 3 Sketch from

I believe the name of the location was Van Ripers Farm, but there were two pumpkin patches close to each other and we used to visit both and as I was quite young I don't recall which one this was.

And the other was the costumes -

For this I started with Team B Week 4 Sketch from Let's Get Sketchy!

the little Dutch girl is me and the costume is actually from Holland and came with real wooden shoes, which I still have!  My best friend Santa is wearing the Cinderella costume as it looked back in 1963!

Happy Trick or Treating!

BACK TO THE BEE!

Saturday I was able to go to a crop in Maryland with my scrapping buddy Maraline.

I was originally planning to be at the Robin's Scrap Nest crop at the Carlisle Inn in Ohio this weekend but housing and health issues took over and prevented that from happening.

But...I was able to be there in spirit as I worked on my photos from the crop there in April!

I completed 3 pages...I know...not much for an all day event, but for me that was actually pretty good.

My first layout uses Stuck?!Sketches
October 1 2015 Reveal.

Next up is from Let's Get Sketchy October Week 1-

and for my final layout
Let's Get Sketchy October Week 2-

Our normal Sunday plans have cancelled so I will probably spend the day relaxing and creating so watch for another post later or tomorrow!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Please leave me a comment to let me know what you thought!
