A FEW CARDS

Last night I was able to complete 3 cards for a variety of challenges.  Here they are:

First up is one that was inspired by #216 Tic Tac Toe challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room.

I chose to do the bottom horizontal row which included gingham, flowers and vintage trims. (The lace is vintage found in the attic of my last church in NJ.)

I used card sketch #5 from Scrapbook.com which I rotated 1/4 turn clockwise.

I am also entering this in Paper Shelter challenge #156 Use That Ribbon! (the center stripes are ribbon as well as the tiny roses and bows) and The Crazy Challenge #170 It's all about the Stripes!

Here is card #1-

For my second card I chose card sketch #4 from Scrapbook.com.

I am also entering this in Try it on Tuesday Springtime theme challenge and Paper Pretties PWC308 Springtime theme challenge.

Card #2-

and last I used sketch #343 from Mojo Monday which called for a tall and skinny card, Lots of Layers for challenge #17 over at My Mum's Craft Shop, the color palette from Scrapbook.com card challenge category #1 and Anything Goes challenge #130 at Word Art Wednesday.

I hope that you have enjoyed these selections.  Today I am gearing up for National Scrapbook Day crops at a few different sites.  I am really looking forward to getting a lot accomplished and having more to share with you!  As always thanks for stopping by.  All comments gratefully appreciated.

A FIRST FROM WINTERTHUR

This page will start my tour of Winterthur - another of the DuPont mansions here in Delaware.  It was absolutely gorgeous and I took far too many photos.  There was the mansion, a museum and stunning grounds.  This was taken in a section called the Enchanted Woods.

I used the Member Spotlight Sketch from Colorful Creations which I rotated 1/4 turn clockwise.

The Sketch:

I used 3 patterned papers (in addition to my background sheet), 3 embellishments (fiber, a charm and 3 buttons) and sparkle (yes, I actually used my Stickles!) along with my fairies for Flutterby Wednesday, and for me this is Shabby Chic which is the challenge over at Whoopsi Daisy. As I used a charm I am also entering this in challenge #132 at The Paper Shelter.

And here is the Layout - (which yes, I have been working on now since Thomas' Birthday on the 7th - mojo has been rough with this nasty sinus infection and my art area is a disaster - I have lost 2 pair of detail scissors while doing this layout!)

Hopefully the next page will move along a bit faster as tonite I will be heading to Thomas' Boyscout Award night meeting.  Please stop back again later and find out!

HAPPY FALL HOLIDAYS!

Today I want to share with you three cards I made to celebrate the season.  The first is to celebrate Halloween and uses a sketch from Deconstructing Jen.  My bottom layer was done with ink and all the others with paper, ribbon and pieces from great border diecuts from my scrap stash.  I've also decided to enter it into the Anything Goes challenge at PapercraftStar.

Here is the sketch:

and here is card #1:

My next card is seasonal and uses distressing for the challenge over at Paper Shelter as well as the phrase 'Thankful for...' for a challenge from the Colorful Creations Give Thanks Fall Crop, and Autumn Colors at Love to Create.  My sentiment is a stamp that says 'So Thankful for You' and is embossed in gold.

Card #2:

My last card for the evening uses inspiration from The Pink Elephant, and the theme of thanks or Thanksgiving at Totally Stampalicious, and colors of fall at Kaboodle Doodle.

Card #3:

Hope you have enjoyed these seasonal selections.  More tomorrow!  Have a wonderful evening!
