A FEW QUICKY LAYOUTS!

Today I'm here to share a few quick layouts.

The first really had NO work on it at all - it was an academic award my son Thomas received at the end of his Sophomore Year last June.  The colors of the patterned paper were just SO perfect with the colors on the certificate that it simply screamed "scrap me"!! I am so proud of him getting this as he overcame many personal obstacles of his learning disability to achieve it. Way to go Thomas!!

Next was another quick & easy which was from the Friday Inspiration challenge 9/4 over at Turtle Soup.

This was the Inspiration:

You could use the colors, the page design, the alphabet... Simply anything!

I chose the page design for my inspiration...

and a few close-ups-

and last I chose the September Team A Sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.

and my layout-

with a close up of my take on
Julie Nutting's gal Becky!

The photos on these layouts were from the Robin's Scrap Nest Rivercrest Barn Crop!

I hope that you have enjoyed these quick little shares!  I am so happy that you stopped by and I would love to know that you were here and what you thought so please take a quick moment to leave a brief comment to let me know.

YES...BACK TO THE BARN FOR THE LAST FEW PAGES!

Today I am going to share two pages that were completed last night.  I probably will have two more pages and the entire album of the trip will finally be complete!  Then I will be able to get started on my second trip to Ohio that was this past April.  There was nearly a third trip in July but a migraine that ended me up in the ER had my doctors give me a strict no on the long solo drive.

The first page was a "Scraplift" for the 9/3 challenge at Turtle Soup.

Here is the page we needed to 'lift' from-

and here is my layout -

along with a few close ups-

The other layout uses the September 1 sketch from over at Stuck?!Sketches.

and my layout -

 and a few close-ups-

I'm going to draw this post to an abrupt close as tonight I am taking my son to see the Steve Miller Band and the Doobie Brothers and it's time to get our acts together.

Hope that you have enjoyed this share.  The 'Barn' trip (Rivercrest Farm) book is nearly complete.  I think there will probably be 2 more layouts and done!

HOPEFULLY I WILL BE ABLE TO SHARE THEM ALL...

I completed the album the morning of the wedding!  I managed to get photos of all the pages but I am not even sure what challenges they all went to as I was working so fast.  So I will share what I have as best as I can!

First up-

From ScrapMuch?! Sketchy Friday 8/21

and my layout-

Next from Turtle Soup Monday Sketch 8/3-

my layout-

and the fun close ups-

Turtle Soup Monday sketch 8/10

another embellishment close-up

and mine-

and of course the back page-

I just loved this paper and never knew exactly what I was going to do with it.  As soon as I saw it in my stash I knew the back cover would be perfect as I could leave it just as it was. All I added was the little 'Made With Love By:  Paula' to the bottom.

Somehow there should be 4 more pages. Hopefully I will find the photos and the challenges they go with for a future post.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing most of the rest of the wedding book. You will get to see the last of the pages on my post for the Scrapping Everyday Miracles September challenge.

WOW HAVE I BEEN BUSY!!!

Yes...I did finally get it all done...
just in time to leave!
What am I talking about?
The wedding album of course!

My previous posts have shown you a bit of the pages that were involved and here I will try to get in a few more.  I crammed so hard trying to finish that I just grabbed quick photos and now I have to put all the pieces together and figure out what different challenges they were for.

Here are a few pages that I know are for
Turtle Soup.

The first is the scraplift for 8/6.  Here is the layout they chose for us to lift.

and here is mine-

and here is the chosen layout for Scraplift 8/13-

and mine-

(I chose to turn it upside down!)

And this one is for the
Team A August Week 3 challenge

and mine-

I really enjoyed working on this one. I love working with sketches by Bev Code.  She is so absolutely talented and her sketches are so much fun.  I wanted to highlight a few of the fun things I added.

Don't these flowers say wedding to you with the little pearl centers?

And banners always signify festivities -
what could be more festive than a wedding?

And I love it when I find a good opportunity to use this die.  It is one of my favorites. It is just so delicate isn't it?

I am going to stop here for now and try and get my day in order...the guinea pig cage is stinking so cleaning the cage is priority #1 and then off to the shower.

I have a LOT more to share with you though so please plan to stop back again soon!

I love reading your comments and hearing what you think about my creations so please do consider leaving one if you have a minute!

Thanks!

BEE HAPPY! BEE SCRAPPY! - IT'S SUNDAY!

Sunday started off with a trip to NewPointe Community Church in Millersburg, Ohio with my roomies.  Then it was back to The Carlisle for more creative fun!

On Sunday I used a sketch from Turtle Soup Monday Sketch challenge 4/6.

and some photos of my younger son Thomas fishing the first time we went to Lum's Pond State Park in August 2013.

And here's my layout...flipped around a bit...

I also did a make and take tag with Charlene Woods designer of C-thru the Woods stamps. The tag reads 'May Each Miracle of Spring be a sweet reminder of God's Everlasting Love.'  I'm going to enter my tag in challenge #179 at Word Art Wednesday.

Can't wait to post Monday - I actually accomplished a bit more!

ONE PLUS ONE FOR YOU TODAY!

Today I am going to share one layout and one card with you.

The layout uses the sketch from 2/20 on Scrap Much

I always have so many photos around.  These are from my son Thomas' 16th Birthday last October.

His comments were...'but MOM - why did you make it SO GIRLY?!'  and 'that sure was a really good cake!'  Oreo Ice Cream cakes are awesome!  I explained that the cakes were part of the patterned paper - I did not choose to use so much pink on purpose.  and of course the title...but it just seemed like the perfect choice - 16, cake - sweet... I'm sure you get it!

Here are a few close ups -

I love to play on Word Art Wednesday so I think I will also enter this layout in their challenge #172 Anything goes!

And for my card share...

I used the sketch #381 from Mojo Monday.  No idea why I chose this as it expired quite a while ago...

I used red and white for the Card Recipe challenge on the Turtle Soup February Mini-Crop.  It was to use the colors red and white, and a punch - oh and ribbon and a stamp!  I of course intended to add a small heart punch to it and never found it but the big circle might be one...

I think I will put that tiny heart up in the left corner where I have a tiny tear...

and that is it for my sharing for today.  Hopefully tonight will be a productive one creative-wise...

Thanks so much for stopping by.  All comments gratefully appreciated.
