ANOTHER SPECIAL DAY

A few weeks ago 3 of my sons friends were baptized and we were invited into membership at Kingswood United Methodist church here in Newark, DE.  I created a few layouts from this day.  The first is of the girls being baptized.  I used a sketch from the Colorful Creations Twisted Blueprints.  I wasn't able to cut the photos in circles without losing too much so I had to modify things a bit.  The twist was to use a tag so I put each girls name on a tag with their photo.

The sketch:

The second page is of our membership ceremony and the cake to celebrate the occasion.  I used a sketch from Paper Secrets.

After the ceremony my son and his friends performed the song "Sanctuary" for the congregation.  For this page I used the color scheme from Colorful Creations Plus One challenge.

I hope you have enjoyed sharing in our special day.  Thanks for stopping by.

A SPECIAL DAY

Today at church 3 teenagers were Baptized as well as my son and I being accepted into membership.  I made them each one of these cards:

I also made them each a cross for their bedroom using the theme or colors of their rooms.  Here they are:

The technique this week over at Card-a-Day blogspot was embossing so I entered that card as I used a wet embossing technique on the Dove and Cross for the theme With Faith.

CREATION FEST NORTHEAST 2012 BAPTISM

This year at Creation Fest my son and his father went forward to be Baptized.  It was a special moment and I am so happy that they brought home photos to share which of course I had to scrap.  The first page was done using Creative Scrappers Sketch #218.

and the submersion shots were done using this weeks Guest Designer Sketch from Colorful Creations which I rotated 1/4 turn clockwise to accommodate the photos.

I am so proud of them for taking this important step in their Christian walks.  Both of them had been baptized as infants but wanted to confirm and affirm these most important vows and their belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.  God bless you Thomas and David.
