ONE PLUS ONE FOR YOU TODAY!

Today I am going to share one layout and one card with you.

The layout uses the sketch from 2/20 on Scrap Much

I always have so many photos around.  These are from my son Thomas' 16th Birthday last October.

His comments were...'but MOM - why did you make it SO GIRLY?!'  and 'that sure was a really good cake!'  Oreo Ice Cream cakes are awesome!  I explained that the cakes were part of the patterned paper - I did not choose to use so much pink on purpose.  and of course the title...but it just seemed like the perfect choice - 16, cake - sweet... I'm sure you get it!

Here are a few close ups -

I love to play on Word Art Wednesday so I think I will also enter this layout in their challenge #172 Anything goes!

And for my card share...

I used the sketch #381 from Mojo Monday.  No idea why I chose this as it expired quite a while ago...

I used red and white for the Card Recipe challenge on the Turtle Soup February Mini-Crop.  It was to use the colors red and white, and a punch - oh and ribbon and a stamp!  I of course intended to add a small heart punch to it and never found it but the big circle might be one...

I think I will put that tiny heart up in the left corner where I have a tiny tear...

and that is it for my sharing for today.  Hopefully tonight will be a productive one creative-wise...

Thanks so much for stopping by.  All comments gratefully appreciated.

STILL FEELING A LITTLE BIT LIKE CHRISTMAS - and POPCORN!

Don't know why but I must still have some holiday spirit left.  I have created 2 more Christmas cards for you.  The first is using sketch #115 from Feeling Sketchy!

I decided to turn the sketch on it's side for my card.

I created another card as well...I thought it was for a challenge over on Turtle Soup. Looking at the challenge sample I'm not so sure...

But, for your viewing pleasure here it is -

When I arrived here at the library yesterday to create my post it was snowing like crazy and they closed early so I never got my post up.  Last night I was able to create a layout so I have something else to share with you as well.

My layout uses sketch #229 from Lasting Memories Layout Challenges.  Not only did you have to use the sketch but your layout had to have something to do with food.  I chose these fun photos from the Robin's Nest crop I went to last September in Ohio.  The crop was held in a barn and it was truly a blast!  (Robin is hosting another crop in April at a hotel in the Amish country of Ohio - I can't wait to go!)

Here's the sketch -

And here is my layout!  I was lucky enough to have a seat right next to the popcorn maker too!

I wish the photo was more clear.  I of course didn't realize that until getting up here and viewing it on the computer.  On the phone it is so tiny that it looked just fine.  My time here at the library will be coming to a close shortly so I am going to hunt up a few more challenges so I can work on them tonight!

Hope that you have enjoyed my share for today!

KEEPING BUSY

It has been really cold the last few days.  I have been trying to keep busy doing a bit of art and as the library was closed for the last few days I have a few things here to share with you.

The first is a layout.  I started off with sketch #34 over at The Memory Nest, and the Tic Tac Toe board from Soul Scrappers TTT2.

Here's the sketch -

and the Tic Tac Toe board -

I decided to use the first row vertical.  My photos are from Christmas and the ribbon is actually woven through a sticker.  There are a few other stickers as well.

and a few close-ups -

I am also entering this in Cheryl's Anything Goes February challenge at sketches4all

Next up is a card -

I used the sketch for the Feeling Sketchy DT call.  I think that is a great site and I am planning to apply, so you will probably see more with this sketch coming soon.

The sketch -

My card -

I wish the vintage Santa image had shown up better.
It really is cute.
It reads 'Best Wishes for Christmas'.

Christmas supplies are still out on my desk and crafting area so my head is still in Christmas!

My next card uses sketch #385 from Mojo Monday.

 and my card -
Don't you just love that little penguin?

I am also going to enter that card in Stacy H-W February 2015 Card Challenge over at Sketches4all.

I hope you have enjoyed these 3 creations and I plan to have more to share with you tomorrow or Friday.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  All comments are truly appreciated.

SPECIAL PRESENTS

I am so blessed to be a Mom.  To have two very special sons.  My first layout that I am sharing today is of the special presents that I got for Christmas from my eldest son Robert.  I love to bake and he gave me this cute Gingerbread Baker with a gift card to Bath & Body, but then he gave me two of the most special Christmas ornaments...

I used LIFT22 from Soul Scrappers to start my layout -

My Layout -

I with the photo was clearer...You know I cried when I opened these special ornaments that my eldest son Robert gave me.  The first one reads -

"Mom, I wouldn't be who I am if it wasn't for you and your loving support."

and the next one was in memory of his Dad who passed away August 22.  Although we had been divorced for nearly 10 years, we had been married for 16 years and over the last 3 years had become the best of friends again.  This one reads -

"You may miss me but I'm spending Christmas with Jesus this year."

I am also going to enter this layout over at Word Art Wednesday for challenge #170 Anything Goes.

Here are a few close-ups -

Next I am going to share a card I created for Soul Scrappers challenge MM1 Movie Marathon Wizard of Oz.  I chose the quote "There's no place like home"... You also needed to use a white background, orange letters and buttons.

Lastly, what I am going to share I have not yet created a layout for but these are the special presents I received from my son Thomas for Valentine's Day.

The pictures really don't due them justice.  And of course, his other present I got yesterday when I went to parent teacher conference at the High School.  EVERY teacher he has gave me glowing reports.  He works hard.  He is so respectful.  He is a great kid.  I am such a proud Mom!

I am truly blessed by the two great sons David and I had that were truly miracles, gifts of God!

THE BRIDGE

Today I have a layout to share with you.  I was able to enter it in several different challenges...  It starts with the challenge about Michigan on Soul Scrappers.  The challenge shared all sorts of information about the state of Michigan and ended with this -

"I hope after learning a bit about my state, you are inspired to scrap about scenery, wildlife, automobiles, lakes, a bridge..."

I took several bridge photos on my way home from Ohio last September so I knew this would give me the opportunity to share a few of them.

I chose Sketch #425 from Scrapbook Challenges.

I rotated the sketch 1/4 turn clockwise.

I chose the color inspiration from the 2/12 Color Challenge on Scrap Much?

The February Stash challenge W-A-S-H-I over at
My items are:
W - Wooden Alphas
A - Arrow
S - Sticker Alphas
H - Hexagons
I - Ink

and Giorgia's February challenge over at
Sketches4All for using an arrow.

and finally here is my layout -

and a close up of my wooden alphas and arrow!

I hope you have enjoyed all the little details!  I'll be back tomorrow to share something new!  In the meantime, have a wonderful evening and a may no bad luck befall you this Friday the 13th!

A FEW CARDS TO SHARE....

Today I have a few cards to share.

The first uses this months DT sketch from Sketches4All and has candy canes on it for challenge #145 over at Merry Monday.

Here's the sketch -

And here is my creation -

along with a few close-ups -

the inside!

The next card is for Scrap, Paper, Scissors Frozen card challenge. This challenge is to create a card with teal and silver, add a fuchsia heart and snowflake because it is "Frozen" and February!

I used sketch #384 over at
Mojo Monday.

Here's the sketch -

And here is my creation -

I started with a glittered silver card base.  I added various patterned papers using the required colors as well as some flags, an epoxy and an awesome dimensional acetate layered sticker.

Here are a few close-ups -

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my work.  I feel so appreciated when you leave a comment to let me know you were here!

ANOTHER MERRY LAYOUT!

I was able to get another Christmas photo scrapped!  I think this one will be my starting point when I put them in an album.

I chose The Memory Nest sketch #33. It was a really simple sketch.  I still have a few of these great Kraft papers with fun Christmas patterns already on them so I figured that would be perfect.

Here is the sketch -

I am also entering this in Soul Scrappers ABC with a Twist.  This month is the letter "B" with the embellishment being 'buttons'.  You need to use a "B" word in your title as well as adding buttons.  I used 2 words...Boxes and Bags as well as lots of those tiny little buttons!

Here is my layout!

I thought you would enjoy some close-ups as well!
This snowman was part of the printed paper.
I thought he was just SO cute!

I loved this little Santa I found in some very old stash
from back when I tried to sell TLC Products!

Doesn't this just scream 'Wizard of Oz' to you?

A bit of Washi and buttons!

and I thought that this little accent was perfect for all the presents stacked there Christmas Eve night before heading to bed.  Although my boys are now too old to still believe in 'Santa' it gave it that just delivered by Santa feel!

As always I am so happy to know that you stopped by to view my creations.  Please leave me a comment and let me know what you thought!
