FINALLY ANOTHER!

Before heading off to bed I decided to try and do a layout.  I chose November Sketch #1 from Let's Get Sketchy and the Fashion Recipe from the My Scraps and More Fashion/Design Pinterest crop challenge.  I am also entering this in the Creative Monthly Project challenge on Colorful Creations.  The challenge called for using bling - which I used a strip of red bling down the right hand side.

Here's the sketch:

Here's the Pinterest Inspiration:

colors: Red, Black, Grey, and White
Rugged Jeans- Distress on your page
Jewelry- Add Bling

And finally - my layout:

NOT A VERY PRODUCTIVE WEEK...

I noticed that I have not done a blog post since last weekend.  I have not been feeling well and haven't had much mojo so I apparently got very little done.  The only layout I see for this week was for the Colorful Creations Member Spotlight using this sketch:

And here is my layout:

I am going to enter this layout into Scrapbook.com November Boys Only challenge, November Hoarders challenge, and November Two Pic challenge.

I also just remembered that I created this for the Hair Pinterest Challenge for the crop on My Scraps and More.

I am also doing a linky party today for the first time...so I hope I do this right...

Hope you had a great weekend and are looking forward to a fun filled week!  Thanks for stopping by.

A BELATED HAPPY WORLD CARD MAKING DAY

I managed to sneak in a few cards this evening.  I am finally starting to feel a bit better.  This has been one nasty case of sinusitis.  It has taken nearly the entire Zpack just to start feeling a bit better.  In any case - enough of that and on to the cards...

There was a crop at My Scraps and More so this was where I got started.  I did 3 of their challenges.

The first was Audrey's challenge to create a masculine card.

This is what I came up with:

I am also entering this in Fussy & Fancy - one for the boys and Cupcake Inspirations challenge #231 Steampunk.

The next one was Wendi's Recipe.

The Recipe:
make a 5.5 x 5.5 card
Use at least 5 PPs
Use some trim or ribbon
Add a focal diecut, stamp, image (mine is the heart)
and a sentiment

I used sketch #DS121 at Deconstructing Jen.

My Card:

I am also entering this card in Sugar Creek Hollow challenge #71 - Romance and in Inspire Me Friday - challenge 123 Anything Goes.

and finally Tracey's Color Palette Challenge:

This was the inspiration photo I chose:

I used sketch #279 from Sketch Saturday.

The Sketch:

My Card:

And finally I am off to bed.  Tomorrow is my youngest son's 15th birthday and the day I have chosen to honor my Pastor for Pastor Appreciation Month so I know there will be a few more cards tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by!

SOMETHING DIFFERENT

I know that most of what you have been seeing from me over the last few months have been of Delaware museums.  Today I will give you a break and show you a few quick layouts I did last night.

The first one features our family pets Beavis and Butthead.  Two spunky little Guinea pigs and let me tell you when you try to get them in the bathtub they sure are spunky.  They are NOT overly fond of water.  For this layout I used a Pagemaps sketch from the Scrapbook.com September Pagemaps Sketch challenge.  I created it using papers and an embellishment I received for Scrapbook.com 'ugly' papers challenge.  I also entered it in the Scrapbook.com Scrap Your Pets September challenge.

The Sketch:

The 'Uglies' I received to work with:

My Layout:

My next layout is using colors that are in the spirit of the season for my Anything Goes challenge at Colorful Creations for October and using sketch #47 from My Scraps & More which I rotated 1/4 turn clockwise and Candy themed paper for challenge #85 at Love To Create  challenge blog.  The photo is a blast from the past - 2nd Grade Halloween party 2006.

I'll be back later with more...I should be able to start creating soon!

VIEW FROM THE BALCONY

Last night I created this layout and was so exhausted I went straight to bed.  Today was so hectic and busy I never got around to uploading it.  I figured I would put it with today's creations but as of yet there haven't been any because of all the busy-ness!  So without further ado...

I used sketch #44 from My Scraps and More which I rotated to accomodate my photos.

Here's the Sketch:

And my Layout:

Tonite I did another page from Hagley using sketch #3 from the 2 Broke Girls Spice and Sugar Blog Hop.

Hopefully tomorrow I will have a post for you during the day before I head to the Women of Faith Conference in Philadelphia.  Thanks for stopping by!

TWO FOR TONIGHT

I have two layouts to share with you tonight.

The first uses sketch #42 from My Scraps & More and the 'ugly papers and embellishment' I received for the Ugly August challenge on Scrapbook.com.

Here is the Sketch:

These were the papers and embellishment I received:

And here is my Layout:

My other layout uses Sketch #41 froom My Scraps & More and the word 'Summer' for the Say it with Words challenge on Colorful Creations.

The Sketch:

And my Layout:

I just loved this sculpture and it really summarized all that has been going on with me.  I have low B12, low red cells, low white cells, low iron and a host of other minor ailments.  I have been to the osteopath weekly as well as a hematologist, gastroenterologist, opthamologist, psychologist, dermatologist and I still need a neurologist - so for me this has been the summer of the 'ologist'.

I have another endoscopy in the morning so I am off to bed.  Thanks for stopping by!

THREE MORE FROM HAGLEY!

Tonite I have 3 pages to share with you.  I completed one last night and the other two this evening.  I am winding down my day at Hagley.  There will probably only be two or three more pages.

My first layout uses a sketch (and a butterfly) from Scrapping Everyday Miracles, and includes at least five embellishments for the Colorful Creations Use Your Stash challenge.

The Sketch:

My Layout:

My second layout uses My Scraps and More  Sketch #43.

My Layout:

And my last layout for the evening uses Sketch #17 from 2 Broke Girls which I rotated 1/4 turn clockwise and used 2 photos instead of the journaling strips.

The Sketch:

My Layout:

By the weekend I hope to have completed my pages of Hagley and I will do a few different things and then either work with the photos I posted earlier today from Lums Pond or I will start Rockwood Mansion and Park.  And now it's off to bed for me.  Sweet dreams to all.  Thanks for stopping by!

FRIDAY'S FARE

Well, I survived yesterdays medical procedures and am back to creating.  My first project for today was another layout from my visit to Hagley.  I chose the Color Palette and Inspiration from Color Combos Galore #242 and sketch #38 from Sketch 'N Scrap.

Color Palette & Inspiration Board:

The Sketch:

For this challenge you needed to use all 5 colors as well as select some inspiration from the photos.  I chose photo #2 for my inspiration and used modeling paste which I colored to match one of the colors.  I used this with a Crafters Workshop Template of bricks.  I rotated the sketch 1/4 turn clockwise.  I used gold heart brads and gold stickles for my touches of gold.  The photos are actually both postcards as you were not permitted to take photos inside the mansion.

I am also entering this layout in challenge #183 - Anything with Scallops on Kaboodle Doodles.

My Layout:

For my next layout I used sketch #40 from My Scraps and More and another post card.  I rotated the sketch 1/4 turn clockwise.  For the challenge over at The Kraft Journal I used kraft paper and layers.  I used my new basket weave embossing folder to emboss the kraft paper and inked over it with Distress Walnut Stain.

The Sketch:

and My Layout:

I hope you have enjoyed more from my day at Hagley.  And now it's time to call it a night.  I hope to have more for you tomorrow!

A FUN PRODUCTIVE CREATIVE DAY!

I am exhausted!  But I wanted to share about all the fun, productive, creative things  I did today!  I went to a crop with my friend Maraline - the first crop I have been to since moving to Delaware last January!  We traveled to Maryland to attend the monthly crop at Holy Trinity Croppers.  It was great!  Lots of friendly scrappers and lots of yummy snacks and food.  I was able to complete 5 layouts while we were there.  They were all done with photos from this Christmas.

The first page I completed was for the Colorful Creations Say It With Words challenge.  The word for this month is BLESSED.  The photos are from the Christmas Eve Worship Service at Kingswood United Methodist - my Delaware church.  I have been so very blessed by so many people there in so many ways over this past year.  I am also submitting this to My Scraps and More OLW Crop using my own word - BLESSED.

My next page were more photos from worship - the choir and the children.  I did this for the My Scraps and More OLW Crop using the word Peace.  I used the scripture Luke 2:10 in which the angels announced the birth of Christ to the shephards.  In the photo of the children you will see that they are dressed as shephards and angels.  I am submitting this also to Word Art Wednesday who is having an Anything Goes challenge this week.

My third creation was for the Colorful Creations Inspired By challenge.  The inspiration photo this month was a photo of food so I opted to do the photos from our Christmas Eve Dinner at The Olive Garden.  For this layout I used a transparency, lots of shiny embellishments and rhinestones.  The title of the page says Tis the Season for love and joy.  I am also submitting this layout to Use It Tuesday for their Make It Sparkle challenge.  The patterned paper has been in my stash for quite awhile as has the transparency and the rhinestones.

My next page was for the Colorful Creations Guest Designer Sketch Challenge.  Here is the sketch I had to work with:

and here is my page using a photo of my tiny Christmas Tree which we used again this year as I wasn't up to getting our big tree and all the decorations from storage.  I was so happy to get to use 3 little metal trees that have been in my stash for years!

My final creation of the day used photos of my son Thomas playing Joseph in the church Christmas Pageant. I loved getting to use this wonderful diecut sheet by K&Company. I also got to use some wonderfully sparkly holly leaves and 10 buttons. This page is being submitted for Kaboodledoodles Challenge #154 Buttons!

I hope that you have enjoyed viewing my days work!  Now that I have shared this I am going to get myself ready for bed.  Sweet dreams to you all!
