PLAYING PAPERDOLLS!

Tonight I was busy playing paperdolls again. The first thing I did was create a doll tag for breast cancer awareness month.  This was an event for the first anniversary challenge over at Paper Dolls Trading.

The instructions were to create a doll project to share by giving it to someone to brighten their day.  I am going to try to make a batch of inspiring tags and bring them up to the Helen Graham Caner Center at Christiana Hospital.

Here is my first one -

with close-ups!

I think I will also enter her in challenge #203 Anything goes over at Word Art Wednesday.

Then I worked on altering a doll. I had never done this before.  I changed her hair and I drew a turtleneck sweater for her.

I decided to put her on my last tag for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Coffee Lovers Fall Blog Hop with another one of those fun sentiments!

This one says -

WARNING:
I HAVEN'T HAD
MY COFFEE
YET

Here's the complete tag-

It needed something and I sent through and found this cute little stopwatch...I figured this would be a cute addition for someone in a hurry to get that first cup of coffee!

and here is a close-up of my altered doll!

I hope that you have enjoyed these tags.  And don't forget - tomorrow is World Card Making Day...so get ready to create some cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

All comments gratefully appreciated.

HAPPY OCTOBER!!!

Well, I am trying hard to face it that it is time to say goodbye to summer.  Although fall can be such a beautiful season it leads to winter, lack of light and bitter cold.  So, instead I am going to try and focus my energy on continuing to prepare to move to a new place and to enjoying creating lots of art! Creating always helps me to feel better.

The first thing I am going to share with you today is my layout for the Scrapping Everyday Miracles October layout reveal.

Here is the great sketch by Bev Code -

I decided to work on some photos from the awesome Robin's Scrap Nest crop I attended back in April in the Ohio Amish Country.

and here is my layout -

and a few fun close-ups!
The theme of the crop was Bee Happy!  Bee Scrappy! so I got to add a few of these fun bees!

 These pretty flowers were right
outside my room!

This is the name of the Inn the crop was held
at where I also stayed.

My next share is another fun coffee themed card with a cute little Julie Nutting doll on it.  I used the sketch #206 from Freshly Made Sketches.

And now my card -

(Aren't these coffee sentiments the funniest?)

This one says...

ALL I ASK
FOR IS
WORLD PEACE
AND A HOT
CUP
of COFFEE

and close-ups!

I am sharing this fun coffee card at the
Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my latest creations.

SOME THINGS ARE JUST BETTER RICH.,.,.

Today I am here to share another fun
Julie Nutting Doll tag in the
Coffee Loving Cardmakers Fall Blog Hop.

This is Rita...She is Julie's Decade Doll of the 1940's.  She seemed so elegant to me that I thought this fun saying was just perfect to use with her -

CHOCOLATE
MEN
COFFEE
SOME THINGS ARE BETTER
RICH

And here is my tag!

I have been having so much fun playing with these dolls!  Brings me back to my childhood when every month I would look forward to cutting out Betsy McCall and another outfit from my Mom's McCalls Magazine.

I hope that you have enjoyed seeing them as much as I have enjoyed creating them.

(I know the other night I left you wondering if I would create another card, a layout or a doll.  Well...it was a layout... but you won't get to see that until it makes it's preview over at Scrapping Everyday Miracles October 1 challenges!)

JOIN ME FOR A CUP....

Today I am going to share a few more fun coffee/tea projects...

The first is using Freshly Made Sketches #205.  It was a fun easy sketch to use and I had a cute little stamp from Sweet 'N Sassy that was perfect for the theme.

Here's the sketch -

Here's my card -

And a few close ups-

I coated the cup with crackle medium in the hopes that it would look like an old tea cup...

My next card uses Mojo Monday
#417 - Tall & Skinny.

The fun part about the Tall & Skinny challenge is that the card is big enough to use a Julie Nutting Doll stamp.  I chose the doll based on the coffee saying I decided to use -

SAVE THE EARTH
It's the only planet with coffee.

I thought that sounded like a fun 'hippy' kind of saying so I chose Jill the 1960s Decade Doll.

the fun saying

and some great 'go-go' boots!

(and as you can see I used some awesome tie-dyed paper from my DCWV Stack.)

I am also sharing these in the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with the Coffee Loving Cardmakers.  There are some great projects and some amazing prizes - you really should check out this fun hop!

Now, I'm hoping to get a bit more creating done - either another layout from Robert's birthday or another Julie Nutting Doll tag.

I hope that you will come back and see!
