TWO MORE

Yesterday I completed two more cards for the shut-ins at my church.  So far I haven't gotten to any today as I worked today and tonite I went to an outstanding event called Via Doloroso - the story of Christ from the Last Supper to the Crucifiction.  If you ever get to attend one I would highly recommend it.  It was very powerful.  I also still have not completed all of my taxes so I have to get back to work at that.

The first used the sketch #215 from Sweet Sketch Sunday

.

I used polka dots and stripes (and Easter eggs) for challenge 214 - Easter Sweetness over at The Shabby Tea Room, Easter eggs for challenge  #C4C231at Crazy4Challenges Get your Egg on!, challenge TPE246 Easter at The Pink Elephant, and Spring is in the Air challenge #1 using layers over at Sketches4All.

SHABBY ELEGANCE

My last creation for the evening is a Christmas card.  The challenge this week at the Shabby Tea Room was to use Aqua and Brown with a Silver element.  Merry Monday at Always Playing with Paper was to create an elegant Christmas card.  At Critter Sketch Challenge the theme was snowflakes and for Incy Wincy you needed to pop something up.  I used the required colors, both which were printed with snowflakes.  My silver element is an angel whose wings are popped up.  Oh, and there was a sketch I based it on from Dutch Dare.

Tonight I was able to complete 3 completely different cards.

My last card is very special.  I knew this was the sketch I was going to use for this card as soon as I saw it.  The sketch is from Feeling Sketchy.  The card is for Tyler Jeffries.  Tyler was injured in an IED blast in Afghanistan a few weeks ago.  This brave young Hero soldier lost both his legs.  You can learn more at the Facebook page Supporting Tyler Jeffries.  I encourage all of you who are reading this to stop by the page and you can find the address that is accepting cards of gratitude and appreciation and encouragement for Tyler.  Here is the sketch I worked with:

and finally here is my card for Tyler:

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit.  I hope you enjoyed today's creations.
