BUSY! BUSY! BUSY!

Now for more pages from the wedding album.

I did so much so fast that I did not stay organized with what they were for and I am really paying the price now trying to back track and figure things out.  I would have been so much better off if I had kept a list rather than counting on the tabs to still be open on my computer...but...I have never been good at making lists or using them...so I will just do my best.

Here I used the August 15 sketch from over at Stuck?! Sketches-

I opted to rotate it 1/4 turn to the left.

and a close-up of a bit of the stitching!-

Next from Let's Get Sketchy August Week 4

and mine-

I am having such a tough time locating everything I worked from...hopefully by the end of the day I will be able to make a bit more sense of things!

I hope you have enjoyed viewing a few more pages from the wedding album.'

Please leave a comment letting me know you were here and what you thought about what you saw!

WOW HAVE I BEEN BUSY!!!

Yes...I did finally get it all done...
just in time to leave!
What am I talking about?
The wedding album of course!

My previous posts have shown you a bit of the pages that were involved and here I will try to get in a few more.  I crammed so hard trying to finish that I just grabbed quick photos and now I have to put all the pieces together and figure out what different challenges they were for.

Here are a few pages that I know are for
Turtle Soup.

The first is the scraplift for 8/6.  Here is the layout they chose for us to lift.

and here is mine-

and here is the chosen layout for Scraplift 8/13-

and mine-

(I chose to turn it upside down!)

And this one is for the
Team A August Week 3 challenge

and mine-

I really enjoyed working on this one. I love working with sketches by Bev Code.  She is so absolutely talented and her sketches are so much fun.  I wanted to highlight a few of the fun things I added.

Don't these flowers say wedding to you with the little pearl centers?

And banners always signify festivities -
what could be more festive than a wedding?

And I love it when I find a good opportunity to use this die.  It is one of my favorites. It is just so delicate isn't it?

I am going to stop here for now and try and get my day in order...the guinea pig cage is stinking so cleaning the cage is priority #1 and then off to the shower.

I have a LOT more to share with you though so please plan to stop back again soon!

I love reading your comments and hearing what you think about my creations so please do consider leaving one if you have a minute!

Thanks!

SO HERE WAS THE START!

Yesterday I was blessed to attend the wedding of some very special friends.  I wanted to create a wedding album for them - not the typical type as I am sure they will have an amazing one from their photographer but one that tells a bit of their story.

Here is what I came up with...

The title page -

and some close-ups

I thought it would be fun to start with childhood photos of the Bride and Groom.

The Bride

 and a few close-ups

and sweet little Julie Nutting's doll Adara (as Adriane)

The Groom

and one of Julie's little boys - Toby (as Chris)

I am going to share those two layouts over at the Facebook Group Addicted to Paper Dolls.

You have already seen other pages from the book over the last few weeks so my shares this month are a bit out of whack!  Sorry if there ends up being any confusion.

More to follow...

FRIDAY! FRIDAY!

I'll bet some of you remember the song "Monday Monday", well today it's "Friday Friday".

I have a really busy time coming up.  I am working on a wedding album for a wedding that we are attending in just a week.  I am not even halfway through the album and I also still have to go buy a dress and probably shoes.  This is going to be quite the week.

So here for starters is a page I created using the Let's Get Sketchy Team B August Week 2 sketch.

and here is my layout-

and a few close-ups-

I hadn't realized until I took my photos that you can barely see the doily peeking out on the side.

and here you can see why I felt this paper was just perfect for a wedding album!

"Today tomorrow & forever".

What could be more perfect?!

I think I may go sneak in a bit of sunshine as it is a beautiful warm day here in Delaware then I will be back to create more...and more...and more...  I have to get this book done!  There is less than a week!

A QUICK SHARE!

It has been a really hard week for me and I have been doing very little creating.  On Saturday it will be one year since my ex-husband (father of my sons) passed away suddenly in Uganda less than 2 weeks before he was due to be back in the US.  Although we had a horrible divorce we had eventually become best friends again a few years back before we all came to Delaware.  I haven't been in much of a mood to do anything...but creating is good for me so I am trying hard...especially as I need to get an entire album done in less than another week.

So, without further ado here is another page for the wedding gift.

I used the Team B August 7 sketch from ScrapMuch?!

I opted to flip the sketch upside down.

Here is the result -

and here are some fun close-ups -

I hope that you have enjoyed this quick share as I now must get busy creating more!  13 more to be exact!  Boy am I going to be busy!

I hope that you will stop back and keep seeing the latest additions!  And of course if you do I would love to hear your thoughts in a quick comment!

Thanks so much for visiting!

A BIT MORE FOR THE BOOK!

Today I am going to share a few more pages that I have created for the special wedding album I am making for friends of ours getting married at the end of the month.

The first page is using Let's Get Sketchy August week 1 sketch.

and here is my sample-

I am not really happy with the quality of that photo.  It is hard to tell when using a phone to get my shots.  The close ups are a bit better and I will hopefully get back tomorrow to present a better offering of the full layout.

My next share is using the
Sketch-y Friday Team A
sketch 8/14 from ScrapMuch?

and here is my creation with some close-ups!

I am running short on library time as it is an early close on Sunday so I will end here so I can get these posted to the challenges.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you will leave a comment letting me know that you were here and what you thought about my creations!

Enjoy the week ahead!

A SNEAK PEAK FROM THE WEDDING BOOK!

At the end of the month a very special friend of ours is getting married.  I am so looking forward to the wedding and especially to giving her this book I am working on.  So far, I have the title page and 3 other pages...so that is 4 out of 20...so I am 1/5 of the way through!

I was going to share all 4 of them with you today but decided that I am only going to share the one that has a current challenge in it and save the others to share when the whole book is completed and after it is gifted.

This page was created using the August 1 sketch from Stuck?!Sketches.

and a few close-ups-
a space for each of them to journal what they first thought of each other when they met...

a space for a photo of each of them, possibly from around the time they met...

and a bit of fun stitching - do you like it?

Stay tuned over the next few weeks for more from this special gift I am working on...

Thanks so much for stopping by.  All comments are greatly appreciated.
