COMING BACK SOON!

I don't know what has happened to several pages on my blog that have all missing photos. I have just completed two baby albums for gifts and will be posting photos shortly!

I am now in a wonderful new apartment off the noisy highway and out of the cramped quarters so things are slowly getting back on track!

Stay tuned for renewed creativity!

TAG! YOU'RE IT!

Tags are such a fun way to share a bit of our creativity.  Here are a few tags I have made this past week.

First is my Irish fairy.  I sent her to a good friend and how perfect that she arrived today -
St. Patrick's Day!

Here is my Spring Flowers tag for the Bring on Spring Flowers swap on Addicted to Paper Dolls.

and a close-up of the fun felt flowers with
a sparkly bead center-

And for Carol's Extra Tag Swap Disney over at Paper Doll Trading I created this-

I dressed my doll just like Minnie Mouse and used some fun Disney papers and embellishments.

And finally-
for the Star Doll - Use Your Mixed Media challenge over at Paper Doll Trading I created this-

I used a back ground of 3 different colors of modeling paste that was covered with a thin coat of a sparkly Stickles and a wash of watered down white acrylic paint.

I added this cute little felt and chipboard saying

and some fun feathers and a flair button that says 'Happy'

I hope that you have enjoyed my latest paper doll creations! I'd love to hear what you think so oplease do leave a comment!

A QUICK CARD TO SHARE

This is going to be a quick share as I just discovered that the challenge will be over in 3 hours and I will be on my way to Bible Study before that.  I created this card to cheer up the mother of a friend from one of my groups who has been having some struggles.

The card was created using this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #226.

and the message inside -

I hope that this will bring her a bit of cheer and that you have enjoyed viewing my creation!

A COLORFUL WEEKEND!

I spent a lot of this weekend coloring!  I have always loved coloring since I was a young child. I just discovered Scrapbook Generation Facebook Group with their Lucky Me Online weekend crop and joined in on a batch of ther challenges...mostly the coloring ones...

The Four Leaf Clover
Coloring Challenge
According to legend, ther four leaves of the clover represent faith, hope, luck and love. The goal was to choose a coloring page that represented one of these and color it your choice. I chose this to represent love bevcause of all the tiny hearts!

The Rainbow Coloring Challenge
Color a page of any design using one shade of each of the seven rainbow colors...red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.

The Lucky Ombre Coloring Challenge
Color a mandela using only one color using as many shades of that one color as you wish, coloring it in ombre fashion using darker in the center and lighter on the edge.

The Lucky Number 7
Coloring Challenge
A rainbow has 7 colors and rainbows and the number 7 are borth considered lucky.  Color a page with exactly 7 colors.

The Don't Pinch Me Coloring Challenge
Color a page using 5 shades of green plus one accent color.

The All I Want To Do Is Color
Color a page using any theme or color.

The Lucky Pick Layout Challenge
They gave you several color combos and were told to jot them down on paper and scramble them up and select one.  I selected Black and Gold.  I couldn't find my gold paper so I decided to create a gold and black design of my own.

And last I am going to share the card
I made for this months
Card Challenge.

I hope that you have enjoyed seeing my weekend of creativity!  All comments are gratefully appreciated.

A BUSY ARTSY DAY! (and week!)

I had a fun day Saturday at a crop in Maryland with my friend Maraline.  I was actually able to get more done than I usually do so I am really happy today to have a lot to share with you.

First up is a tag that I made for a
Native American Tag Swap
over at Paper Doll Trading.

Last time I did one like this I had some fabulous fringe for the outfit but since this move I still can't find much of anything so I just cut my paper.

Next is a birthday card I did using Anita's Foiled Decoupage for the first time as well as a Sizzix embossing folder.  It is not the way we did decoupage years ago with the Mod Podge.  This is just layers of paper on tiny little pop dots.

A layout of my son and his first car.

And the rest of the share from Saturday are pages of a new 8x8 scrapbook I started of our new kitten!

The cover-

and the first few pages-

And I just discovered that I had not shared some tags I had created recently to swap with a new friend over at Paper Doll Trading, as well as a Sympathy card we sadly needed last week.

The card-

I am going to share this over at

and now-
The tags-

And this last tag is for a challenge at Addicted to Paper Dolls using an item from our kitchen - which of course on here are the tea bags.

I will also share this one with
Coffee Loving Paper Crafters Facebook Group(they drink tea and cocoa too!)

Thanks so much for stopping by to view my latest creations!

PLAYING PAPER DOLLS AGAIN!

Today I have a few quick things to share.  The first is a tag for the mother of one of the gals in a group I belong to.  She has developed dementia and this is a subject dear to my heart as I went through it with my Mom.  We were told bright colors to catch her attention as well as blue being her favorite color.

Here is what I came up with -
This is Audrey -
Julie Nutting's 1950's decade doll.

Next is another attempt at Pocket Art.  This is for a Winter Themed Page Swap over at Robin's Scrap Nest.  The doll I chose for this page is Valentina!

And here are a few close-ups!

Along with the page swap event there is going to be an optional game for those that wanted to create another pocket page. For this one I got to use one of my newest stamps from Julie's latest collection which all have a beach theme.  I also entered this page in a challenge at Paper Doll Trading for using a 1950's theme.  This is Suzi!

and the close-ups!

Hope you have enjoyed my doll shares today!
Hopefully I will find a spot to create more soon!

All comments gratefully appreciated!

MORE SWAPPING!

This year I have been participating in several swaps, some of which I shared in my last post.  I want to share with you the fun items I received in return as well as some others!

For the Mythical Creature swap I had sent the Fairy Queen (shown in my previous post) and in return I received Venus!

This was the fabulous tag.

and this was inserted (see top of tag) and included some information about my partners family.  It was very special!

For the ATC swap using diecuts I sent this -

and in return I received this fabulous fairy -
This holder was amazing and she also included a batch of diecuts and goodies!

Here is the ATC out of the envelope.
The attention to detail is incredible.  I always struggle working small - I am much more suited to 12x12 layouts but I am working hard at this size by playing in ATC and Pocket Letters.

Next I will share the layout I created for

February layout sketch.

Here was the sketch I worked from-
which I chose to rotate 1/4 turn clockwise.

Here is my layout -

This layout was In Memory of a very special lady, Teri Ingersoll.  I met her last year at Robins Scrap Nest Bee Happy Bee Scrappy Crop at the Carlisle Inn.  A few days after returning home Teri passed away suddenly the day after her 56th birthday.  She had long term health issues all her life but it is still way too young to pass.  (Last year was a hard year for young people - I lost several friends and family members in their 50's.)  She was so sweet.  Here she is holding an Eiffel Tower made for her by Cassondra Gloden of Infinity Engraving.

And while we are thinking Eiffel Tower I also did this cute little tag -

Next I am sharing a Pocket Letter I created about my current state - Delaware for a swap of all the states.  It will go postal tomorrow and in return I will receive one from Kentucky!

I also did a few tags...here is one for an 'All About Me' challenge at Paper Doll Trading.

And this was done 'just because' so that I could use the fun Cheery Lynn die that I had just received!
I am going to share this over at
Word Art Wednesday in challenge #218.

Here's another swap item - this time for another Valentines Day swap this time at
Paper Doll Trading.

I think this about covers the bulk of my recent artistic ventures.  Hopefully there will be more again soon.

Sorry this took so long since my last post!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Please leave a comment to let me know what you thought and that you were here!
