Happy Friday!  I am finally getting to sit down and start creating.  I started with my Daisy Yellow Index Card a Day challenge using the prompts definition and stencil, which I did using Twinkle Twinkle's Summer of Color Week #2 color palette of orange and hot pink.

I used a bit of hot pink acrylic paint and then some tube watercolors in hot pink and orange and moved them around with a wet finger.  I next used a Crafters Workshop Template and an Adirondack Paint Dauber in Snow Cap and randomly added to it.  I had some old Prima rub-ons one saying Be Inspired and several designs so I added those and then a definitions sheet of the word inspire which I colored with orange and pink chalk.  I finished it off by randomly stamping parts of a Donna Salazar stamp.

And here it is:

Next I decided to work on a card.   I used color palette #187  from The Play Date Cafe and sketch #203 from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I am also entering this in challenge #85 on Word Art Wednesday.  I used a great orange card base which I stamped with my Donna Salazar background stamp.  I chose some papers, a flower and some leaves, stamped my sentiment and put it all together.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I absolutely love both of these works of art! The index card that you made using the SOC colors looks amazing! I love how you used colors and textures here!!! And your card is very beautiful, too!

  2. I love your layout for the SOC-week 2. It is really beautiful. And the card is just gorgeous!

  3. Love both pieces, but the card is my favorite. Gorgeous colours....

  4. That's a beautiful card!! I LOVE the warm colors. The crescent moon shapes remind me of the Supermoon tonight :). It's gorgeous, so big & bright despite the haze we have tonight, in Kuala Lumpur.

  5. Gorgeous card! I really like your color combination -- so bold and vibrant. Fab use of our sketch. Thank you for joining us this week in the challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

  6. Lovey work, Paula! I really like the color combo on that second one. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely art in our challenge this week. Hope you're having a blessed week. Please stop by again soon. It's always SO nice to have you play along.

  8. Indeed, both of these are awesome - so bright & vibrant! Thanks so much for playing with us at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week!

  9. Don't you just love finger-painting? I don't know why, but it's so satisfying, maybe 'cause it's so freeing, like being a little kid again. Thank you for the list of resources, BTW: That Donna Salazar crackle stamp just went on my "must have" list. Delightful work!

    1. I got that stamp as a prize fropm one of my groups. I finally took it out and now I can't stop using it. I absolutely love it. I don't even put it on a stamp block I just ink up parts of it and press it on the page randomly! You will love it!

  10. Stunning use of the colour combination, very creative. Love the bold use of colour in the first one. Very energising and inspiring! :)

  11. Wonderful card, and I love the "inspire" definition, xoxo

  12. Awesome card. Love the bold orange background you created. Thanks for blessing us with your artwork at Word Art Wednesday this week. Hope you'll join us again. Big hugs, always!
