PRECIOUS PAGES by PAULA

T.G.I.F.

Happy Friday!  I am finally getting to sit down and start creating.  I started with my Daisy Yellow Index Card a Day challenge using the prompts definition and stencil, which I did using Twinkle Twinkle's Summer of Color Week #2 color palette of orange and hot pink.

I used a bit of hot pink acrylic paint and then some tube watercolors in hot pink and orange and moved them around with a wet finger.  I next used a Crafters Workshop Template and an Adirondack Paint Dauber in Snow Cap and randomly added to it.  I had some old Prima rub-ons one saying Be Inspired and several designs so I added those and then a definitions sheet of the word inspire which I colored with orange and pink chalk.  I finished it off by randomly stamping parts of a Donna Salazar stamp.

And here it is:

Next I decided to work on a card.   I used color palette #187  from The Play Date Cafe and sketch #203 from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I am also entering this in challenge #85 on Word Art Wednesday.  I used a great orange card base which I stamped with my Donna Salazar background stamp.  I chose some papers, a flower and some leaves, stamped my sentiment and put it all together.

The color palette:

The sketch:

and finally my card:

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

  4. That's a beautiful card!! I LOVE the warm colors. The crescent moon shapes remind me of the Supermoon tonight :). It's gorgeous, so big & bright despite the haze we have tonight, in Kuala Lumpur.

  9. Don't you just love finger-painting? I don't know why, but it's so satisfying, maybe 'cause it's so freeing, like being a little kid again. Thank you for the list of resources, BTW: That Donna Salazar crackle stamp just went on my "must have" list. Delightful work!

    1. I got that stamp as a prize fropm one of my groups. I finally took it out and now I can't stop using it. I absolutely love it. I don't even put it on a stamp block I just ink up parts of it and press it on the page randomly! You will love it!
