and now finally, late but here it is:
I'm Paula, an avid scrapbooker with 2 nearly grown sons. I have been scrapping for about 17 years & decided that I would like to share my love & talents for it with others. I created 'Precious Pages by Paula' to do exactly that. There is a line of pre-designed scrapbooks & frames, as well as doing custom one-of-a-kind albums with your photos. Cards are prayerfully made in the hopes of carrying special blessings to their recipients.

ANYTHING SPRING BLOG HOP!
Welcome to the Anything Spring Blog Hop by the Scraps to Treasure Team. Our goal is to create beautiful things using our scraps and to share these ideas with you.
If you arrived here from Robin C -http://cutonedesignsbyrobin.blogspot.com/ you are in the right spot. Our hop today started at Pam L. ~ http://mzlavr2.blogspot.com/ so be sure to start at the beginning so you don't miss any great projects or blog candy!
For today's hop I decided to do a simple Happy Birthday card. I based it on Sketch #88 from Deconstructing Jen. The sketch called for round but I opted to do square with a roiund in the center instead. I made a few modifications to the sketch but I'm sure you can still see the flavor of the sketch shining through. I was able to use some bling and papers that have been in my stash for quite awhile.
Here is the sketch I used:
And here is my card:
Your next stop on the hop is Cicily - www.pinkdalmationscrapper.blogspot.com.

JUST ONE FOR NOW
I have been looking forward to posting this one which I completed the other day but things around here have been very busy. Although the sketch I used for this was round I opted to make mine square but did use a round shape in the center. I used Sketch #88 from Deconstructing Jen with a few modifications.
Here is the sketch:
I hope that you have enjoyed viewing this creation. I should be back a bit later with more - at least THAT is the plan. LOL! Have a great day!

ONLY ONE TONIGHT
I was only able to complete one layout tonight but it was out of my comfort zone and it turns out I am pretty happy with it. I started it for Random Wednesday on the Colorful Creations . I used twine for Critter Sketch challenge #155 Use Twine, Kaboodle Doodle #162 - 3 Dimensional, There She Goes #198 Color Challenge - several shades of green, Pink Elephant TPE190 Happy St. Patrick's Day - use the color green, Shabby Tea Room #157 - Oh So Pretty in Pink, Whoopsi Daisy Buttons or Bows (or both!) and Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes #70.
Here is the color palette I worked with:
and here is my layout:
It's late and I am expecting a long day tomorrow so I will be off to bed. Sweet dreams to all! I'd love to hear comments if you have the time!

A LITTLE BIT OF SUNDAY
Today I was able to complete a tag and two layouts for Colorful Creations. The tag was for Fi's St. Patrick's Day Tag Challenge. The instructions were to use green and white and to do a technique like stamping. I started by inking my tag with green distress ink and then used some gesso and a stencil. I stamped and heat embossed the word Easter and the dove with the olive branch on green cardstock. I used some bling, buttons, flowers, and fiber.
Here's my tag:
Next I did a layout for the Member Spotlight challenge ending tonite. I used some photos from the play 1607 First Landing that we saw back in 2009 at the Historic Villages at Cape Henry, Virginia Beach.
Here is the sketch:
and here is my layout:
My last layout is for Libby's Song Challenge using the Bob Seger song Old Time Rock 'n' Roll. The photo is my son playing air guitar in the ocean. The metal banner on the top reads Rock Star as you needed to use a word or words from the song. For this challenge I used sketch #DS90 from Decontructing Jen. I inked the edges of everything with distress ink and I distressed my photo and the center blocks with my Distrezz It All.
Here is the sketch:

And now I am going to head off to bed as tomorrow is going to be a long day! Sweet dreams to all!

LAST TWO FOR THE NIGHT!
I was able to sneak in two more fun challenges for the Colorful Creations Pot of Gold Blog Hop. The first one was for Tabitha's Inspired by Rainbows challenge.
Here is the inspiration piece:
The center section of my card is actually a light purple but I just couldn't get it to photograph well.
Here is my card:
And my final creation for the evening was for Libby's Challenge. The requirements were to use the word Lucky as well as to include ribbon, buttons and a banner.
Here is my card:
Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget - tonite is Spring Ahead and we need to move our clocks UP one hour (and we LOSE an hour's sleep!) So, Sweet Dreams to all.
SHARING SOME FUN FROM THE POT OF GOLD CROP!
This weekend on Colorful Creations we are having our Pot of Gold Crop. There are lots of great challenges there and we are giving you until St. Patrick's Day, March 17th to complete them. Please be sure to check out all the fun and games! Here are a few things that I have done so far:
For my challenge, I wanted you to be inspried by the colors of St. Patrick's Day - mainly green and to use some shamrocks.
The next challenge I did was for Janet's challenge. Her Challenge for the Pot of Gold Crop is a Card Challenge.
- You must make a greeting card.
- The Card must have the color GREEN on it.
- You must have at least 4 other colors on the card – colors of the RAINBOW (red, orange, yellow, green, blue,indigo, violet)
- You must have bling, stickles, or glitter because… ALL THAT GLITTERS IS GOLD
I chose to create an Easter card for this one. My gold is the embossed cross.
Next I was on to Roulien's challenge which was to use this wonderful inspiration:
~ Use 3 different patterned papers on your project;
~ Use 3 different colored embellishment on your project;
~ Use something gold and green somewhere on your page;
For Anne's challenge you needed to use the word LUCK or LUCKY and I created another St. Patrick's Day card using the word LUCK.
Hopefully I will be able to work on a few more challenges later tonite! Hope you are having an awesome weekend!

SNEAK PEEK FRIDAY WITH STUDIO JRU!
This has been a quiet somewhat unproductive week for me as I have not been feeling well and have had to spend a lot of time running to the hospital and dr but I did manage to sneak in a few creations.
My cards:
An altered mirror:
There is also one layout but I am holding out on you with that one as I have been invited to be the Guest Designer for Scrapping Everyday Miracles and it will be revealed in another week or so.
